General Conditions

Before students fill up the application form for enrolling in Italian language courses, they must read the general conditions. By signing this document, students automatically accept these conditions.

1. Age Requirement

Applicants must be 14 years old to apply for the Italian Language Course.

2. Course Management

The school has the right to cancel any course, make changes to the timetable, and adjust prices to find alternative solutions when a minimum number of students is not reached. Lessons take place from Monday to Friday. Students are not entitled to reimbursement during local and national festivities unless differently pre-arranged. The school will be closed during national and local festivities.

3. Attendance Policy

Students who do not attend classes are not entitled to a refund if they arrive late or leave before the end of the session.

4. Feedback and Assistance

Students dissatisfied with their course can contact the Director of Studies (Alessandro Mariotti) or the Principal (Massimo Plaja) and request the complaint form.

5. Enrolment Procedure

To sign up for Italian language programs, students must provide a payment receipt for the course and accommodation (if applicable) in addition to the application form. Payment options include credit card, cash, or bank transfer. A receipt must be presented to be accepted into the course; otherwise, the student will not be allowed to attend classes. Bank fees are at the expense of the student/agent. STUDIOITALIA does not accept invoice deduction made by the student/agent for the bank transfer.

6. Visa Requirements

Students from countries requiring a visa to study abroad need to contact the Italian embassy before starting bureaucratic procedures. In case the visa is rejected by the embassy, a 90% refund of the total amount will be issued. Once students obtain a study VISA, cancellation is no longer possible and cannot be applied.

7. Cancellation Policy

To cancel the enrolment for Italian language courses, the following conditions apply:

Cancellation with 30 days' notice: full refund without penalty.
Cancellation within 29 and 15 days from the start date of the course: 50% penalty on the total amount of payment.
One-to-one classes need to be cancelled with a minimum notice of 5 working days (Monday-Friday).
No reimbursment whatsoever will be given for cancellations of less than 14 days.

8. Private Lessons Policy

Private lessons must be cancelled with a minimum notice of 72 working hours (Monday-Friday) prior to the scheduled lesson.
Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the lesson being forfeited without refund.
Private lesson packages must be consumed within 6 calendar months from the date of the first lesson. After this period, any remaining hours will be considered expired.

9. Accommodation Arrangements

As for accommodation, the school acts only as a mediator between students and landlord, thus, is not responsible for the relationship between the two parties.

10. Special Offer Courses - Non-Refundable Policy

Important Notice: Certain courses may be offered at special promotional rates, including but not limited to:

Last Minute Offers: Courses offered at discounted rates for immediate enrollment
Early Bird Discounts: Courses booked well in advance at reduced prices
Seasonal Promotions: Limited-time offers during specific periods
Group Discounts: Special rates for group enrollments

Due to the special nature and discounted pricing of these promotional courses, they are offered on a non-refundable basis. This means that regardless of the cancellation timeline, no refund will be provided for courses purchased under special promotional offers. The promotional pricing reflects this non-refundable condition.

Students enrolling in special offer courses acknowledge and accept that these courses are exceptions to the standard refund policy outlined above.

11. Insurance Recommendation

Enrolled students do not have insurance cover for injuries or diseases of any nature. An insurance plan is highly recommended.
